This spring we are introducing new jury members of the contest “The best design and layout in a home goods store” which takes place within the framework of the international exhibition HouseHold Expo. Kira and Ruben Kanayan, the famous Russian experts and practitioners in the sphere of retail trade and retail real estate, founders and directors of the Group of companies KANAYAN RETAIL & DEVELOPMENT CONSULTING Moscow, will be working as jury of the contest for the first time.
Kira and Ruben Kanayan have an immense experience in working with retail networks, shopping centres and multifunctional complexes. Their portfolio includes participation in projects of over 156 shopping centres and multifunctional objects (such as retail and office, public, sports and fitness, hotel complexes), 52 retail networks and over 600 shops of various specialties. The projects with the participation of Kira and Ruben Kanayan are successfully implemented in Russia and 12 other countries. These projects include both the opening of objects from scratch – starting from creating of a concept and choice of space and the work optimization of existing objects, profit increase and strengthening of their competitive position on the market.
Kira and Ruben Kanayan are authors of such books as “Merchandising”, “Design of shops and shopping centres”, “Retail real estate: challenges of time and prospects”. Apart from practical work, they participate in teaching and research activities. Over the years, Ruben and Kira Kanayan had their own author’s course as part of supplementary professional education programmes: at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, at the “Marketing” programme and the Presidential programme of managerial personnel training. Currently they teach the course “Organisation of retail trade” at the MBA programme of the Higher School of Economics. They own the certificate “Person of trade” and are laureates in the nomination “Retail trade”.
